Laura Gitter understands that difficult seasons in life can feel overwhelming, and that reaching out for support is often a courageous first step. She believes in each person’s resilience and views therapy as a collaborative process that helps clients move toward meaningful goals and lasting change.
Laura takes an individualized approach to therapy, recognizing that each person’s experiences and needs are unique. Her clinical interests include working with depression, anxiety, stress, panic, grief, and couples counseling. She also has extensive experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
With over 22 years of experience, primarily working with adults, Laura brings both depth and versatility to her practice. As a dually licensed clinician, she integrates treatment for both mental health and substance use concerns. Her training includes Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 1), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and other evidence-based approaches.
Laura values creating a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship and looks forward to helping clients take meaningful steps toward growth and healing.
